Since the new year began and we had our AGM,  members of the club have been busy enjoying their horses, training and competing,  with two qualifiers for the BRC National Championships.  

At the Grassroots level,  for Intro and Preliminary,  we had great success,  with Emily Lambert winning both her classes guaranteeing her place at Arena UK, Lincs,  where Champs are held.

Joining her are the team riders,  who also qualified,  Alice Rench,  Dawn Amer and Carly Fenwick, who has qualified at Novice and Elementary.  I and my mare are joining them,  having qualified for the PYO Senior class,  doing Adv Medium,  and,  my favorite class,  the Freestyle at the same level.

Gaelann East also qualified,  with a great score,  but has decided it will be too much for her ottb this year,  as they are working through some problems,  which they have very nearly cracked,  but don't want to set him back with a long journey and stay away show.  Next year we hope will be another chance.

So,  this week,  we will all be setting off for the Championships,  which start on Friday.  I think this is our biggest attendance,   as a club,   at the Champs for about 20yrs!  Praying for fine weather and good journeys for everyone.  Lets hope we all have great rides and that,  whatever our results,  all riders and horses have a great time.
